Once Upon a Time

So I've graduated college with a degree in Fiction Writing. Now what? According to all of my teachers, an agent is not going to come to my door and offer me millions of dollars for my novel in progress. So there goes my laid back plan to fame. No one's going to hand anything to me, I have to go get it myself.

I may be stuck in the retail world to pay the bills, but writing must also play a big role in my life. That's where the blog comes in. What else is a girl who just graduated from college to do? I need to write, I need an audience, so here we go.

It's time to take the journey into the real world, and this blog is going to be here to chronicle the journey. Every story I'm currently working on, every submission, every rejection, this will be my outlet to talk about it all. Peacocks and Fairytales gives me the audience that all of those Story Workshop classes have given me a craving for, and thus hold me accountable for something. I love deadlines and the pressure to get something done, so without the crutch of school, I will now use this to keep me turning out work.

This is the beginning of my story as an adult, my "Once upon a time". Hopefully it'll lead to a "Happily ever after" or two.
